Default muffler Help!

My 2008 Z51 A6 got hit from behind and the damage estimate is $7,512.40, the insurance has agreed to pay this amount. Both of my Bi-Mode mufflers are damaged and need replacing. The body shop says about $2,600 to buy them new. what year bi-mode used mufflers will just bolt right up? Mine is automatic, is there any difference between mufflers for an automatic and a manual? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Sub'd & BTTT

Having similar issue w/ my '08 Z06.
Somehow after only 62K right can has started sounding boomy, not crisp as it should. Methinks it's shot.
New OEM replacement cans cost one's first newborn, a set of OEM cans swapped-out for aftermarkets would work fine.
I know, good luck w/ that.

2008 NPP is the only year that is direct fit for 2008 base. Bi-Mode is for Z06/ZR1 and has larger diameter pipes.

Why isn't insurance paying for them? Looks like the mufflers are $837 ea (chevynationparts.net), so that is quite a bit cheaper than what the body shop is telling you.

I have a set of NPP mufflers I just removed from my '13 Grand Sport that only has 22,000 miles...they are in very good condition. FL car no corrosion on them if you are interested send me a PM and I will get back to you...not looking for much $$ just don't need them anymore...went with a BBE system.

You can use mufflers from 09-13 IF you use the midpipe from a 09-13 also.

If you want louder, have them buy you some Billy Boats with the flapper valve thing-a-ma-jiggs that will hook up to your oem rubber hose.

I actually have ZR1 (2009) manifolds, cats and mid pipe now. I had a muffler shop manufacture, cut and weld the 2.5" muffler pipe to the 3" X pipe. The OEM muffler pipe now slides into a 3" adapter and is welded at that point.

Drivers side will bolt up. Will need a little massaging for pass side or find a 09-13 midpipe.
