The car looks good in both pictures. But the black wheels with the black top looks real good, imo.

Black wheels looks good, kind of compliments the stock silver calibers.

Trust me 73DBG, I didn’t want anyone blowing smoke in my direction either. That’s why I opened the door with the “bring the hate” comment. Just wanted honest opinions either way.

I think the black wheels look fantastic on Torch Red. I also happen to like it on Cyber Grey and Black, but I think it is particularly good on Torch Red. Not so sure about Crystal Red though.

No hate for me at all I love the way they look. Beautiful car!

Now comes the but. LOL

My favorite wheels on a Grand Sport are the aluminum or the gray factory wheels.

My 2008 has the factory chrome rims made by speedline and my top speed was 203 mph.I have not seen a black rim vette even come close to that....BTW: Back in the 60s i had a few cars that had factory black steel rims and that was ok in my book.

Way better! Love the black wheels on red cars. Would not do it on my WGG, but with red, yes.

Thats awesome man! 200mph club! I take it that was a standing or rolling mile? I’ll say this though...my vette has black wheels and it’s not and if it goes 200...but how far over 200 would it go and that I’m not sure but I’d guess 220+ depending. I’ve been 185 on the street in Mexico and that was barley into 5th gear, I made the 4 to 5 shift around 170-175 was in 5th for a few seconds hit 185 with a whole hell of a lot of room left and that about when I passed the GSX1000 I was racing but had to let out cause the bridge was coming to a turn....

what kinda power where you making when you did 200? I’ve seen a few lightly modded C6z hit 201-203ish in the standing mile and that’s awesome but I’m making double the wheel horsepower than the majority so of course well over 200 isn’t as impressive.

It was from a dead stop, but on a two and 1/3 mile air strip. The only vette I've seen do a 200 mph run at the Tx mile was a tuned ZR1.My is an auto which has the higher gear (272) the last time on the dyno it was close to 595 rwh.....And no i do not do the freeways in Mexico...That is only for guys that don't care for other people's lives.....Those idiots do that a lot around Houston TX.....BTW: What gear do you have in the 3rd member?...185 in 4th gear.??......The 2008 and up was tested by GM at 190 mph but no way in hell it would do that on a one mile strip stock and the C6z at 195 mph with only 505 hp to the crank.

Yeah well like I said I’ve got double lol a little over 900whp, and I said I was 170-175 coming outta fourth and wasn’t far into 5th at 180-185mph. So 200+ in the mile not a hard thing to do with that kinda power. 😉 I can also rev to 73-7500 and I’m doing a little over 130 coming outta 3rd. Easy a 175mph half mile car so getting another 30mph with another 1/2 mile to go is easy day. My 60-130mph times at 840whp and a 6700 rev limiter was 5.67 seconds and that’s having to do 3rd to 4th pulls because I didn’t have enough tire to make a 2nd to 3rd and the rev limiter was holding me back. Now that I have the fuel and rear tires, no more rev limiter should be a high 4 second 60-130pmh
