That doesn't sound good at all. You can remove the unit from the vehicle, remove the top cover so you can get access to the CD unit. The CD may be stuck in the unit, etc. That is the only suggestion that I can come up with. I've had the top cover off to clean the CD laser lens, so CD access will also be available.

You have to remove the radio surround console ( PDF attached) then there are 4 screws to remove the unit from the dash. Unclip the connectors for the FM antenna, GPS antenna, mike input, XM input and the unit is freeded up. The top of the unit has 6 phillips screws holding it on.

Here is a you tube for removing the radio surround console

Before removing unit might consider battery disconnect trick to reboot computers.
Just might save a lot of work.
Can't hurt If not tried, already.

As always whenever C6 power's interrupted, re-indexing windows is required.

Thanks. I tried it but it didn't work. I think it is jammed by one of my discs I made with stick on labels

Even though I disconnected the battery, it did not completely power down the radio because I still have the presets and clock setting. Is there any way to completely power down the radio to hopefully reset the error code?

Same thing's happened to me more than once.
Each time I was very fortunate to snag it w/ a hemostat.

Appears it must come out, opened & tag removed.
Good time to clean lense.
A strip of scotch tape over labels and it'll not happen, again.

I wish I could grab it. I think it's down inside the 6 disc unit somewhere.

Only way I can think of is remove unit requiring all connections, including power, to be disconnected.
IF it's still powered-up after disconnecting let me know.
We'll file a patent for a perpetual energy source.
Make enough $ to buy Lamborghinis, use C6s for anchors on our new yachts.

Kidding aside, unit needed to come out anyway for label removal. Right?

Or, just don't listen to CD's. I can't remember the last time I did that. If i want to listen to the same music over and over again, I will listen to Pandora!

That is a bummer!

Yeah I listen to all my music via my phone. Does the 6 disc changer have a USB connection, or was that added later on?

My 2005 has No USB, No Bluetooth. The CD is it.

HOWEVER, While driving to the store today, I pushed CD and it started working. I don't believe it,but everything works. I ejected the CD's and there were no stick on label CD's in the unit.. I don't know what was wrong and I don't know what fixed it .That bothers me but right now I am just happy./
