When I bought my car the driver's side visor had the usually broken mirror cover. Only problem is that also the housing that holds the light and mirror is broken as well and hangs if i don't flip it up. I was wondering If I can just take the whole visor off and leave it off till I find one in tact. How do I take it off? Will there be a problem if I just leave it off and drive for a bit? It has the garage buttons. I've never got to drive with the top off yet ahahah
I've got one that's broken as well. Thinking of taking both of them off, having a shop cover them in leather (with no mirrors) and putting them back on.
on post 8 of the link above, they used 4 rivets, but if you remove the vanity mirror bulb covers (carefully) you can use zip ties inside that area to attach the vanity assembly to the sunvisor. I've seen a thread on it, but can't find it at this time. This is a thread from a C5, which is similar to the c6 visors, but uses zip ties on the top part. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-fell-off.html
Buying a new sunvisor is likely the best, but not the cheapest option.
I just took both visors off completely. Use a small screwdriver in the slot use the visor to leverage the screwdriver and twist the complete plastic housing with a downward pressure it will pop right off unplug it and you’re good to go

I also have that problem. I am going to try and hot glue it all together, I'll let you know how it works out. If it doesn't work I will save my pennies and buy a new set.

My passenger side hinge is broken as well. If you glue the hinge (if that is what you are gluing), your cover door won't open , right?

I am looking for a fix too.
It is not the hinge, the whole thing is detached from the visor. This is one of the things Chevy didn't put much effort or thought into, I can't even tell how it was attached at the factory.
I went out to try and fix it yesterday but since it was about 95 degrees I didn't last long. Does anyone know how to detach the visor so I can bring it inside?

I have a different issue. I have a broken mirror. I would like to replace just the mirror since I had the visors covered a few years back. Anyone ever take the mirror out.
No, screwdriver goes straight up. Then use the visor as leverage against a screwdriver holding the screwdriver up in the slot and pulling down at the same time twist the visor and it will pop right out. I then just unplugged it and left it out . Looks much better and visibility is improved Plus no cheap two dollars factory mirror

I bought these from of all places TEMU and they came with LED's installed They actually came surprisingly fast also, think it took a week. I'm very happy with purchase, still have my OEM's also which now have LEDS and Vanity Glued back, but sitting in box like all my other Upgraded OEM parts

Since they don't have Homelink buttons I decided to repair mine and it worked great.
Wow! Thank you for this! I just ordered this and since I'm a first time Temu customer I got a $20 off coupon. So two mirrors for $19 instead of 1 from Chevrolet for over $200. Hopefully the quality is close.
Can't figure out how they could sell these for such a low price. Has anyone ever dealt with them before? Please let us know how the quality is, I have both sides broken and would like to replace them if these are decent. Thank you...
