Had battery disconnected since last October and on battery tender, fired car up Monday and clock not working.Out for a ride tonite and when car restarted around 8 P.M. noticed clock is back in action
a couple of guys on the caddy forums are also getting their clocks back randomly. no rhyme or reason why, while others are just getting more pissed by the day. gm is screwing the pooch on this one, big time.
Definitely weird that some are working again and some still aren't. Anyone disconnect their batteries recently and not have any issues recently? I don't want to mess with my battery

Mine crapped out a couple of weeks ago after dead battery then jumped with portable jump starter. Alternator putting out 14.9 volt, well above what it should be. Still doesn't work
I'm curious if the ones that have come back to life are ones without the NAV option. For any of you that they have come back to life, do you have navigation?

Pretty sure the only ones affected are the nav versions. The other ones (one or 6 CD versions are manually set.). The nav versions get the time info from the GPS info, and the car is not able to translate at this point.
My 05 (non Nav) has the 6 CD, manual adjust clock and the climate control panel occasionally 'glitches' where the screen blinks or goes completely blank. I started to replace it twice over the years but eventually, it returns to normal. I think your issue is different from mine. Imagine that, an 05 with electrical issues. The next thing we will discover is dead battery syndrome!

Mine is a nav radio and I got my clock back in early March....maybe April...can't remember.
No universal fix yet, who knows may not ever be one.
There's now a fix! I wrote to the Tech Nerd at the Corvette Magazine and they offered the solution. I did it in seconds and clock and nav system work perfectly. Go to renowned corvette mechanic Paul Koerner's website: www.thecorvettemechanic.com. There will be instructions to download a CD - he provides step by step instructions. You can also take your car to any Chevy dealership and they should be able to take care of it in minutes. If any of you subscribe to the Corvette Magazine the letter and fix appear in the April 2020 edition pages 22-24. Good luck!
