Thank you for your assistance on resetting the TPMS sensor.
Itstates to start resetting the right fronr wheel and the horn will sound once witheach wheel. After the fourth weel the horn will sound twice.
What if you only have to reset two wheels? Is the process the same?

Yes. Once you start the reset process, you have to complete it in whatever sequence you desire, since the RCDLR needs to see 4 sensors. Standard sequence is LF, RF, RR, LR. to match what the DIC display will show.
Other sequences can be used to diagnose problems.

Thanks for your response.

What is RCDLR?
The TPMS on the LR tire failed. so I purchased the reset tool, and tried resetting all the tires, including the failed LR sensor with no success.
Now I am going to replace the two rear tires (LR and RR) and TPMS sensors. Do I have to reset the two new TPMS senors?

RCDLR is remote control door lock receiver. It's what determines your fob is within range and allows you to do fun stuff like open doors, deck lid and start the engine.

I am a little confused why you didn't have any success. Are you using the EL-50448? This video does a great job of explaining the process.

RCDLR Radio Controlled Door Lock Receiver. It's the part that communicates with the fob, the door switches, the hatch release, the starter button, and all the tire pressure sensors. It's located in the dash next to the glovebox.
Anytime you start a reset sequence, you have cleared everything and you need to restore communication with 4 sensors for it to work again. The reset tool is the go-between to re-establish the radio communication. The DIC will display the results in the same order you did the reset. It's possible to complete a reset using the same sensor 4 times with a sensor that is in your hand or 4 sensors laying on the floor, since the RCDLR has no method to know the location of sensors. You're not resetting the sensors themselves, but only the RCDLR, so it knows in what order to request information. The sensor replies to the request with the air pressure.

The reason you had no success, is that there was no power in the LR sensor, so the RCDLR only saw 3 sensors. You could fool it by repeating the third sensor twice. The DIC will show the same number in both the RR and LR.
