anyone do / add the rear window panels/ rails to a C6 , to look like a C7 ,,2005-2013 Chevrolet Corvette C6 Duraflex Stingray Look Window Rails - 2 Piece, anyone buy the ones from Extreme Dimension or Driven , same rails
I’m not a fan of these. But it’s not my car. They look like cheap in my opinion, like they are stuck on the glass (which they are) and the ones I’ve seen in person are higher than the halo.

Why in the hell would you want to make a C6 look like a C7? The C6 is beautiful in it's own right. Making it look like another generation is nothing but making it a "poser." This is no better than putting a stick-on center piece on the rear glass to make it look like a 63, which is just as horrible.

I think it would have been a great look if the car originally had them as a molded part of the body. These have a distinct "stuck on" look to them. For me, if something shouts "STUCK ON!" then I have no interest.

I am both a classic custom car guy, and Vette lover. I do agree that if your going to do it, don’t go the cheap route or it will look exactly like that, “Cheap”.
here is a setup that appears to be a whole new hatch that you just have painted, and install using your existing glass. Not cheap, but it is a lot smoother look. https://www.southerncarparts.com/cor...iABEgJy3_D_BwE
sure you can buy, but I'm a retired aerospace fab guy,, I'm a builder, in my blood ,, muscle cars/ street rods,, if I can get a scraped out back window for a mold, I will lay up with fiberglass my own , all the time in the world to play
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! At least not on the California Super Coupe ones. Just ask the man that owns them. First of all 2 sided tape will NEVER hold these things on. Why? Because they don't fit flush to the window at all. Sooooooo I had to grind the crap out of the underside of the things to get them to fit (more or less). Took about 2 hours apiece to get them close enough. And I'm no novice at this. After 25 years working as a heavy collision tech (ASE Master Tech) I know a thing or two about getting **** to fit. Next step is to use window urethane (not double tape) which will wind up all over the liftgate which will lead to painting the whole damn thing. The next bit of magic happens when they get hot. A 360 degree seal will pop like a bubble somewhere unseen for moisture to begin loosening the bond to the fiberglass. Urethane loves sticking to glass, not so much to primered (epoxy primered) fiberglass. I have since filled the GD things with foam and molded them to the liftgate plus finished the edges that contact the glass with JB Weld for God's sake. Yet now, for the 3rd friggin' time, one of them has come loose. Sooooooo lucky me, for now, will get to re-do the glue, re-paint the liftgate so I can drive the car while I search for a new window (did I mention the glass got f'd up too?). The only upside is they do look pretty cool For awhile anyway. I've been asked "what year is your Ferrari?" a few times. But other than that- THEY SUCK FARTS FROM DEAD CHICKEN'S. Hope this helps you out.
