headlights

Unless somebody knows something I don't, be prepared to have the lower part of the housing get chewed up pretty badly during the process of separating the lens. Fortunately you won't see any of the damage when everything is put back together but I am curious if I may have done something wrong or it's just a normal part of the process.
A lot of people complain about how hard it was to get the remaining glue out of the channel but I found this to be the easiest part. I might have just been lucky but right after separating the lens I used a flat blade screwdriver and was able to pull most of it out in long strips.
Also, be EXTREMELY careful when cleaning the lenses. Without naming the vendor that sold me mine, I was pretty underwhelmed at how easy I ended up with a ton of fine scratches even after using a microfiber cloth. Fortunately they're on my race car, but I would have been pretty upset otherwise.
After cleaning both the lenses and bezels I'd also highly recommend taking them outside in the direct sunlight to check your work. I found out the hard way that just because they look nice and clean at night in the kitchen doesn't necessarily mean they'll look that good outside in the daylight.
Here's a couple pics showing the headlights before and after.
