Convertible models at dealers may be cheaper in the Nov to Feb time frame above the Mason Dixon line.
Coupes not so much.
Private owners generally will hold on through the winter months.
I live in Utah and a $30k Corvette is usually one or two thousand cheaper in the winter, but I think that has a lot to do with someone selling a Vette in winter with a foot of snow on the ground needs the money now. Those that don't need the cash today know to wait until spring.
I buy and sell a lot of classic cars and I always wait until spring to sell them as toys sell faster and for more money in the spring. I believe it has a lot to do with both good weather and tax refunds.
I don’t think it matter. When I bought my vette 5 years ago, it took me 6 month from Nov to April to look for the car because I wanted certain color, options and southern California car; I didn’t any difference in price. Find the one you want and go for it. Good luck.
Because of the lower prices in winter there are a lot less cars available for sale.
I find this to be true as far as selection. In colder states there is not many Corvettes available for purchase in the winter months.
To the OP, imo, best time to buy is summer through fall. Spring pricing tends to be high, but many sellers still trying to sell their cars since spring, have started to lower their price expectations and are more willing to listen to reasonable offers. That being said, if you find a car you like, then that is the best time to buy or try to buy depending on price of course. If you are waiting for a certain time of the year, like winter, you may not be happy with what's available in your area.
Don't know if it's true but I was told by a dealer the mid June was the cutoff for Vette sales up here in MN. He said after that they were a tough sell.
