As the exhaust pipes and muffler get hot they expand and gain length. As much as 1.5 to 2 ".
The spring on the mid-pipe and the rubber hangers that hold the mufflers allow that movement.

All metal expands as it heats. Solid exhaust hangers will put a lot of strain on the exhaust system.
Also, you will transmit every bit of vibration from the engine to the rest of the car. If you are okay with your teeth rattling out of their sockets, blurry vision, and brain hemorrhaging, go for it.

I can weld so I know how hot metal works....but appreciate the reply.....was hoping for a more definitive answer....I have built motors with 650 hp, and used solid hangers. The stuff your talking about currently is what I get from my stock hangers now.....lol
