That’s what I’m fearing, but thought I read somewhere that it became available on the 2012 or 13 GS. Hoping that’s true. Would really like to have the ability to listen to my iTunes music from my phone via Bluetooth without having to retrofit an aftermarket system.
The C6 never had the capability to stream music via bluetooth from the factory. Although, later model years (not sure what year was first) had the added usb and aux jack added inside the center console with certain option packages.

I put a bluetooth audio device that plugs I to my usb and aux I put in my car. 20 bucks or so, works great other than you cant skip using the wheel controls.

I did the same thing. $15 and it plugs into the console aux port found in my 2011. Here is the one I used.
That looks like a simple enough solution, and really all I’d need.. Does it allow you skip a song with the steering wheel controls? How about adjusting the volume?

Volume yes, skip songs no. Its just taking the audio input and playing bluetooth thru it.

I did exactly the same thing. Sounds great.. powers itself with a battery that charges via usb in the console and then the audio plugs into the Aux jack in the console. Works great.. again other than skipping songs.. hafta use the phone itself to do that.
I just duplicate the music on a miniature thumbdrive and plug it in the usb slot. Sounds better than bluetooth and works exactly the same except you don't have to pair anything.

Problem with this is that most C6s don't have a USB slot .... My 2011 GS never had a USB slot. I believe for the 2011 to have a USB slot, the car needed to have the optional Nav.
And before 2011 (or maybe it was 2010), I am thinking that no C6 came with a USB slot.

BTW .... Not having a USB slot on my 2011 GS is one of the biggest reasons I replaced the OEM radio head unit with a Kenwood (with built-in Garmin nav)

Or for us old guys who have worked in high noise environments before OSHA mandated hearing protection, just get a pair of Bluetooth hearing aids and the the wife doesn’t complain about the volume.
