ive used a few different DIADS in my years.
but the new ones are perfect. The older ones are just not as easy to swing around lol. The new ones fit perfect in dogs mouth as they attempt to attack you lol.
the newest version coming soon
Holy crap! I retired in 2003 after 33 years. Looks like they've come a long way!

oh yeah. They know where we are all the time with GPS. Know when our seatbelt is on. Idle time. Backing up time and distance. Bulkhead door open or closed. We now have a key fob and push button start. And push button to open the bulk head/back door.
there trying to connect the videos in car They have them in our back up cams. Just not hooked up. Everyone puts a piece of tape on them lol.

They sure have. I retired in 2014 after 35 years and they had started to get much smaller. I was there when they first came out. They were the size of a clipboard and if you swung them just right you could catch a dog about to bite you right up side the head.

I'm a retired HR Manager and have worked all over the Central U.S. I like to know you are wearing your seat belt because it never was fun going to funeral homes when we had drivers who didn't wear them. The bulkhead door is also a pet peeve because I've seen several drivers through the years get injured when they had to slam on the brakes and the packages come flying into the cab area hitting them.
To be fair, I was always telling Package Division Managers to be careful how they used that technology. It is useful on about 2% of the drivers who don't use the methods IMHO.

Oh yeah the diads have come a long way. Stupid to not use a seatbelt. And I have been known to not close my bulkhead door in the past.
but now with the new key fobs doors are always closed.

I remember the top two boards! My driving years (1970-1980) was all paper records.
