Shifter Fix?

After replacing the auto shifter in my 2010 GS, Decided to see what the mod was to prevent them from getting stuck in park. Snipped off the plastic arm (at the arrow). This shifter will now shift in and out of park without the solenoid activated. So I guess thats it?

I tied mine back, but, yes that's the fix.
