Default C6 Auto

Hi all...can I use the auto trans out of the 2011 GS vert (wrecked) I bought?

The trans bell housing looks a lil different and I am not sure it will bolt up to the engine...what with the torque tube design in the GS. The LS3 and trans are going into a 72 Olds 442. Just not sure I can use the C6 trans (4L65e?) or not.

Thx.

The LS3 auto transmissions are six speeds(6L80) only C6 with the 4 speed is the 05, change was made for 06.
Not sure about your questions. Someone else will come along to help you there.

Thanks for the reply....and also thanks for your service.

I sense that I will need a new bell housing and tail section maybe...by looking online at the pics of it bolted to the TT and rear.

What car will the 2011 GS tranny be going into? What is the tranny in the destination vehicle? If it is not a 6L80, than you will have to deal with the Transmission Control Module (TCM).
