First of all, I think all Corvettes are good and it's a matter of preference. This is my first time buying a Vette and I was looking for a 2008 Z51 manual. Found it. From what I understand it's quieter than a coupe and the windshield meets federal rollover standards.

Mine is as well. Be glad; you have one of the more rare combos. Not many manual trans verts around with the Z51 package. Most opted for the auto trans.

The car is essentially my show car with occasional cruises. I used to take it on long trips but with three other cars to choose from, it's easier to keep this one clean by limited use. It's at 43K miles right now. It's been to S. FL a few times, Bowling Green a couple of times, four trips to Talladega, and once to SC and NC.
One more gratuitous pic just to show that it has left the local area (Talladega 2011).

I had this one for a bit but had to give it up due to knee issues. Put an end to my shifting days. I traded it for a Ferrari F430 with the F1 trans. I do miss it, though. VIN 1062.
Thanks, I really didn't know it was that rare but it was exactly what I was looking for. It's an LT3 too and I like that. Found it this year after looking for one over six months and it had less than 25,000 miles. Black was my first preference and silver was my second one. I feel as if I may have latched on to something that's soon going away. The day of a two-seater, convertible, V8, rear-wheel, manual are pretty much closing. Don't think I'll sell this one and I'll pass it down. Take care

Mine is also a 3LT. I lucked into it after about a month of searching for a new Vette. I'd actually gone to the dealer I found it at to look at a GS that they'd advertised. When I arrived it turned out they hadn't actually taken delivery of the GS yet, but I found the Z51 vert sitting on the lot. After I took it for a test drive I decided I had to have it. It had everything I was looking for other than the widebody GS, and was a good deal less expensive.
Looks familiar! When this color was introduced in 08, who knew several years down the road, that it would become so popular! You see variations of it on all different brands and model cars today!
Yeah - I love the color and of course the lines ... I think all vettes look great - but have to admit I am partial to the smoother aerodynamic look ... and of course to the large round taillights that immediately say 'corvette' ... and driving with the top down is the only way to go imho ... :-)
I have the 3LT package - went with the auto tranny because I was not sure how long my knees will hold out - I use the paddle shifters 80% of the time, but do occasionally wish I had stick - but still the best compromise for an old geezer.

My C6 Vert ( sorry about crappy phone pix ) . Love the color. And mine is a 3LT auto also...50 years ago would of been a manual but 70 year old worn out knees dictate the choice today.
The Corvette Convertible w/ Manual Transmission is an American Sports Car icon.
Very few American two seat convertibles have ever been produced and the Corvette certainly tops the list.
A manual trans roadster is a real sports car. In my humble opinion!
