Hey Ed, Another question following up on this whole dilemma
My battery has been relatively OK since all of this and It's been fixed by simply disconnecting and reconnecting the terminals whenever it happens.
However, I've encountered another issue which has happened a few times that I described before.
While driving, the electronics in my car will go out of wack randomly. My radio will shut off and the screen will turn black, all of my dials like gas and battery voltage will go empty (it was say that gas is empty even if I just filled), and then I'll get 50 service notifications "service this, service this, service this" etc. This will last anywhere from 30 seconds to 5 minutes, before the gauges return back to normal and the service notifications go away. Normally, I don't have any service notifications at all. I'm assuming this is a battery problem as well. Is this just the same issue as before with loose terminals and nothing to worry about? Or is this a bigger problem? It's not that big of a deal but it fairly strange.. especially seeing that my gas meter will say its on empty if I know I have a full tank. Do you have any thoughts on this? If it's all the same problem with the loose terminals then I won't be too concerned.
Things like this typically happen when the battery is going dead. Since you've replaced the battery that shouldn't be the cause, but it's worth testing it just to be safe. I'd go through checking all of the connections again, and take a look at the starter and solenoid to see if you can spot any visual cracking in the casing. It might also be a good idea to have your alternator tested to make sure it's doing it's job. short of this you can try swapping out the battery terminal cables as you might have a short in one.
this sounds suspiciously like the passenger kickpanel intermittent blue connector problem (BCM??)
BCM troubleshooting was going to be my next suggestion. Pull the connectors, clean them, and reseat them firmly. If the problem persists, the BCM itself might be the cause.
