its as easy as the C5 with a few exceptions....since it goes in front first I have found that doing it from the passenger side makes it easier to put it in the hatch...if you are short or have short arms you may have issues as it is wider than the C5 targa
my wife is pissed because she got a 12 GS to replace her 02 C5 and cannot remove the roof herself due to her height and arm reach...driving with the top off is one thing she really enjoys
she is 5'3" I am 5' 10' I have no issues but it is more of a PITA than the C5 was...that being said I have a Z06 so I don't have the issue on my car

After you unlatch the two front and one back latches, push up on the front edge of the top before you get out of the car. The front edge can then be easily grabbed from outside the car, just pull it a touch more to the front to get the rear disengaged and lift up smoothly. As long as you’ve already lifted the hatch and emptied anything that might block it, it’s one smooth move to but it to bed.
I do it whenever the mood strikes, but I don’t like it on the highway.

Being vertically challenged, 5'7" , removal is easier with two people. That being said, I can do it when wife is unavailable. A little awkward, but doable. Eye on the prize. Driving in the open air!

Cleaning dirt, bugs, road grime, and bird crap off the soft top is more work..... That's exactly why I left the convertible era, to a coupe with removable panel..
It's all good...

To each his own. Ragg Topp cleaner and sealer makes cleaning the top extremely easy.
No...the looks alone makes it worth the effort...
I'm 64 and I do it from drivers seat...door open and hatch up unless I'm putting it in the house. Pop the three locks and then hand on both edges and push up then carefully exit car...both windows down for on and off. install reverse of removing but for the love of god latch the damn roof..Top off is good around town and as others have said not so good on the highway though someone sells a cheap spoiler above the visor that supposedly helps that a lot.. The vert wins to top off award though unless that air dam thingy helps.
good luck...first time is scary but more people leave it unlocked than have issues removing it. The flying roof club is one you don't want to join...

I have found it’s easier to lift off with 1 foot inside the car. Better leverage. And like someone else said, have the hatch open first. Someone sells a wind deflector that goes on easy after roof is off. About $60. Nice addition.
