Ok, I understand. Many folks are confusing the increase in power derived from a tune that the higher octane allows, to the octane itself increasing the HP.
I do understand there are likely some secondary benefits to the high ethanol blend for power that are not octane related.
not to thread jack but say no immediate plans to boost in the near future but plan on going FBO/Cam... When I check the injector math it says im good on stock LS3s given the duty cycle will likely be high. What about the pump itself though? Would a simple hotwire kit be enough to compensate or is it time to just bite the bullet and start building a fuel system for the eventual boost.
You can go with a booster pump or a high performance in tank fuel pump if it’s determined you are running out of fuel on the Dyno.
ls2,3,7 are all capable to run E on stock fuel delivery with heads and a cam.
you change injectors and fuel delivery when boosted.
If the MPG trend from 10% ethanol continues with E85 I'm pretty sure the driver of anything would be concerned.
That said, I didn't know it was that much higher octane and while the increased boost from a blower would certainly increase HP the higher octane alone is not going to increase HP.
its supposed to be a 30% loss, but it also far cheaper than 93. the math needs to be miles per dollar vs miless per gallon to see what the hit is.

E85 and boost is gonna make a HUGE power gain, so not sure where you get it’s only the boost doing it...that’s just silly.
Now for a mostly stock vette without increasing compression E85 isn’t gonna do to much, at least WHP:money spent. OP is going boosted later so it’s not a bad idea to go ahead and have the flex fuel option, but he won’t see much in gains with factory compression ratio and E85
I went from 687 - 605 on pump 93 to 730 - 629 on e85. Supercharged, if you are going with a charger, flex fuel all day. I have the fore triple pump and rails with ID1300s.
