When u park, always back it in. That way they can’t use a repo truck to quickly haul it away because the back wheels will be in park (A6), or in gear with ebrake on. Better than nothing.
I either park in front of my rooms window, or park it next to the hotel front door. Corvettes aren't rare, they are all over the place. I see them and other sports cars in the same parking lot at every place I've been.
I travel for work often. I use a pickup to travel. Every truck I have owned has a dent in the front and rear bumper from people backing into it in motel/airport parking lots. I bought a new F150 platinum before end of the year. First trip came out of motel in the morning and found a scratch in rear bumper. Said well got that over with.

When someone backs into a Corvette, it's a little more than a scratch! $$$$
I even park mine in Walmart parking lots. Talk about a real risk.....
It's an insured car, and I bought it to drive and enjoy whenever and wherever I want, and that's what I do. I take the normal precautions - nothing left visible in the car - whenever I leave it in public.
It does always drive me nuts when I park FAR away from any other cars and walk longer distances to keep the car from getting dinged. It never fails though, there is ALWAYS some **** box parked right next to me close enough that the door would hit my Z when opened. I wish I could meet those ******** in the process of doing it.

Did you ever stop to think that they parked there to prevent someone else who would not be careful around your car from parking there?

Valid point. And no, I have never thought about it that way. While I do HOPE that would be true...I can only say it's a possibility in a low percentage of occurrences. Therefore, i stick to my original feeling of I hate it when people do that.
If a thief wants your car it does not matter how close or far away you park from your room. They WILL get it. If you think otherwise you may be in for a big surprise some morning when you look out your window and see nothing! Like stated in other posts, I am MUCH more concerned about the cat getting keyed which again there is not much if anything I can do about it. Actually there is something you can do to ensure your Vette is not damaged or keyed. Leave it at home to be the garage queen most Corvettes end up to be!
I am brand new to the world of owning a Corvette.
When on a road trip with your Corvette and time comes to pull off the interstate and get an overnight room to sleep is the factory original security system good enuff?
Do you take other security precautions?
Thanks
The Honda Civic or Ford F150 you park next to are more likely to get stolen than your Corvette. They're easier to steal, and have a larger market for their parts. If someone really wants your Vette, short of sleeping in it there's nothing you can do to stop them from taking it.
I'm more worried about some ahole keying my car while randomly parked at a store.
This is me. And when parking at a hotel (which I haven't done with my current C6) it's door dings and scratches. People (and unattended children) don't care when they're walking between cars with their luggage or boxes.

I just showed this to my brother in law who repo's cars for a living and he is laughing his *** off... his response... "I'd just drag the car out and be gone. What do I care, I get paid by the car". I'm guessing thieves have pretty much the same train of thought.
Now my daughter always backs in but that's so she doesn't damage her carbon fiber splitter.
