Default jacking pucks

Do you have to use jacking pucks on a C6 like you do on a C5?
Thanks, Jim

well you don’t have to but it is advised, I use bright red ones permanently mounted so the guy lifting my car sees them

Yes! The permanently installed ones are really nice, snap them in and forget it. I think they are about $40 from several vendors.

You risk having the rocker panels cracked or broken if you don't. Expensive to repair, too.

I keep a set of 4 in the car. When I get out of the car on the rare occasion that I have work done, the box of pucks gets placed in the driver's seat.

Will these stay permanently on a C6Z?

I have a set in my C6 that I bought from Southern Car Parts, and I had the same set in my C5. You should definitely get a set for yourself.

It is not totally necessary but I would use them, they are not expensive & may save you some costly damage

I ordered mine from a BMW website. Hard to remember which one it was over 7 years ago.

I got these as well. Been on the car for 2 years now, and used them to jack up the car at least a dozen times. No need to spend double or triple the price on the same piece of plastic just because it’s a brand name. (At least not in this case.)
