Default U1000 Class 2 data link

I’ve got a 2008 Corvette. It sets a U1000 class 2 data link in the Remote control door lock receiver, digital radio receiver, radio, and driver position module. Security light stays on. Windows on driver side will not go up or down, can not adjust mirrors, and will not lock or unlock with button on driver door. Any suggestions?

Since you can start the car, problem is not the main GM lan bus,

But on the class two data link instead.

so if you are having problem with only a select few off the JX205 and JX 208 connectors would start checking these connectors.

Hence BCM to DLC, then to the JX205 connector, which loops over to the JX208 connector. Also note on the drawing that you have some extra connectors before you get to the module.

So question is was someone hacking into the wires, or was this a flood damage car with a lot of the wirind/connector corroding instead?

Those various modules are setting the U1000 because it knows a module is there, but that a module isn't talking for one reason or another. The U1000 is a generic communication code that doesnt tell you which module is not communicating. Typically to determine which module isn't communicating, when checking codes with the scan tool you need to see which module isn't communicating. In your particular case, since the windows and mirrors don't work, I would suspect looking at the Drivers door module since each door module controls its respective door components.

In my experience as a tech, if a module isn't communicating it happens because of one of these reasons:
-The module is faulty
-The module is not getting proper power and/or ground
-The module is not getting proper communication voltages over the comm network

You can start by checking the trunk release. If that works, then the power source for the DDM is working. You still have to confirm that the module is getting power to its connector though. The DDM is located in the door. You can remove the door panel, disconnect the module and check pin 20 (red/white) for power and pin 10 (black) for ground with a test light. Then use a volt meter to check the comm circuit, terminal 19 (brown wire). Voltage should be toggling. If the module is getting everything it needs to operate, then it's a module problem. If you're not getting power, ground or a toggling comm voltage, then you have to look at the wiring schematics and use your DVOM to determine where the fault lies.

Check pin tension on pin 55 (green wire on my 09 c6z) on bcm connector X1, the top horizontal connector. These were the exact symptoms I had intermittently. You can also just shake the loom/connector to see if it causes or fixes your problem temporarily.

Hi there, have you found the issue?
I do have the same exact problem, I have u1000 on RCDLR and driver position module and navigation system.
No controls from driver side buttons and the power convertible top stopped working. Also the driver side window is always down.

Please let me know if you fixed the issue.
Thank you

As for window switch and door modules, SP205 connector on the

Problems on the serial 2 bus (not the main high speed lan bus that is the tan wires.

So SP205 is in the dash to the left and down from the IPC, and the Sp206 is to the left of the bose amp in the passenger foot well.

With radio and power convertible top problems and since it on the Sp208 connector that the BCM wire is on as as well, would first start to check it.
L-gr wire from the BCM to the SP206 is really screaming the problem at hand to start with.

As for window switch and door modules, SP205 connector on the br wire, that connection may be fine at the SP205 connection point, and the problem may be the x501 or x555 connectors that are in line before the Sp205 connection point isntead.

Look top left in the below photo, see the neo white line with silver slide clip that is clipped to the last to the left of the upper middle of the bose amp screws across it, that is the Sp206 connector.
