Default time and date

I am looking for a little help I have a 2006 convertible with the navigation radio when i was changing the time at the end of daylight savings I noticed that if I touch on the time in the upper right of the screen the day and date appears across the top. however mine in not correct the day is right but date and year are not. I have looked all over the manual and through the different set up screens and can't seem to find a way to reset it Does anyone know how to do this

Hold in on the button and it switches to a set screen

The NAV system is supposeď to pick up the time and date from the GPS signal. The time adjust screen on the NAV system allows you to select GPS time or not, so make sure that's selected. Then the date should correct itself. There's no way to manually enter the date.

If your model year is before 2011 and you've disconnected the battery then read on. There's a firmware bug in those NAV systems. If your date is off by 20 years or so you need to download and install a patch. Instructions are in this thread, but it's a bit of a read. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...isconnect.html

One more time, as I stated above, there is no way to manually set the date. It picks up and calculates the date from the GPS signal.

I've attached the user manual for your NAV system for your reference. Just like the NAV system itself, the manual is not that user friendly or useful, but the information about setting the time is on pages 1-6, and 3-4. No screen allows you to set the date. Make sure you have the time zone set correctly, and the daylight saving time (DST) set appropriately if you have that where you live. The NAV system can't figure out on its own whether or not to apply DST, so you might need to change that setting twice a year.
