Not willing to drop $900+ on a steering wheel. The OEM GM unit was attractive for me at ~$225 not only for price but I love how it looks. Guess I'll keep an eye on ebay and/or wait it out.

Before I bought my '11 GS I had a '12 base. IMO the '12-'13 steering wheel feels and look much better. That's why it was my first mod. Hopefully they're back in stock in a few months.

From what I was told when I was searching for mine, is that GM will not be making these again. That's why I ended up purchasing the automatic version and removing the paddle shifters. It was either choose from what's left or nothing. This was in September of 2019.

That's interesting because I bought mine in November 2019 from Rock Auto (for a 6M).

I agree with this. The custom steering wheels look real nice, but I just prefer the look of an oem steering wheel. There are so many different versions of the manual steering wheel. Different stitching, with or without voice controls. Are you sure there is not some version still left in stock? I was looking for one with red stitching which limited my options.

I was looking for red stitching. Is that the one you got?

Oops. No. Mine is the standard 'no color' stitching.

I did the "new" steering wheel on my base C6 years ago-- one of my favorite mods, since you see it / use it constantly.

Will the 2011 airbag fit the 2012 wheel?

I was surprised to see some for sale on Amazon recently but it looks like they are out of them now.

I got one many years ago.....had yellow stitching and its own GM part number. So you might find all the part numbers you would take and start searching. Might get lucky.

Also if you have AT, a manual trans wheel may fit...just won't have the paddle shifters.

May or may not be these color choices:
  • Centennial Edition (suede material) w/ Red Stitching w/ Blue Tooth
  • Black Stitching w/o Blue Tooth (leather material)
  • Black Stitching w/ Blue Tooth (leather material)
  • Red Stitching w/o Blue Tooth (leather material)
  • Red Stitching w/ Blue Tooth (leather material)
  • Blue Stitching w/o Blue Tooth (leather material)
  • Blue Stitching w/ Blue Tooth (leather material)
  • Yellow Stitching w/o Blue Tooth (leather material)

At this point, there are plenty for sale through parts yards. Check the used auto part sites and several should be available. I bought a full alcantara setup a few months ago and there were at least 20 good condition leather wheels.

I just painted the silver trim on my 2011 wheel, satin black. I couldn't stand the OEM silver. Did the e brake button as well. Worked for me, the poor man's solution
