Drifting
Hi.
I have OEM chromies on my ‘08, and after just having a set of Michelin Pilot Super Sports installed and balanced, discovered that both front and rear left wheels are bent by .079”. You can see a slight wobble on the Hunter Road Force Machine.
So now I’m in the market for a new set of wheels – I’m thinking gloss black this time around.
MRR M755 flow forged wheels have caught my eye: https://www.mrrwheels.com/products/m755
I can get them in: Front: 18x9.5 50et Rear: 19x11 73et sizes, which are 1” wider than my OEMs, and Ľ less offset, so no clearance issues. The new Pilot Super Sports can accommodate the 1” extra width.
Has anyone heard of these or tried them out? I know looks are subjective, but I kind of like them.
Here are some pics on a C7:
Sometimes I wonder if all gloss black wheels will get lost in the wheel well, but my rotors are super chromey looking, and that may help.
Have any of you gone from chrome to black? Any comments on the MRR M755?
Thanks,
M….
