So i have a automatic 2008 Corvette, ofc LS3. A friend of mine has a auto 2018 camaro 2ss that wants to race. I want to just to see how i hold up against a newer car. The Camaro is bone stock other than an KnN intake. Im stock other than muffler delete. Do i stand a chance against this LT? I want to hear some opinions. TIA.
He has the slight horsepower advantage, but you have a major weight advantage. If traction is equal, you should win. Even with the older slushbox. Especially at higher speeds.

If you have non run flats you will crush that Camaro. I had an 08 as well with LTs and tune. I would take buddy's C7 Z51 with cam and fbo up to 110 all the time. The stock C6 LS3 A6 is an awesome stoplight car once you change the run flats out. Just mat it and it'll go.

perfect!! I feel a little more confideconfi was worried of that 10 speed, people say its a lil better n faster so...
I would bet that you will win. Those Camaro's are heavy and there is more wind resistance too. That's why they don't get very good gas mileage compared to a Corvette with a similar engine. Let us know who won.
Yes, you stand a chance & yes, you will smoke that "Camero" .
I know, I spelled it wrong, I did it on purpose, 'cos those owners almost always get irked when they see it spelled with an e.
I drove one before I bought my corvette. Definitely learn how to launch your car and you will gap him. A handheld tuner can easily give you some more power too.
I'm a new 2008 A6 owner. I had read to put transmission in S for sport shifting when doing acceleration runs. I just found out yesterday why when I was stomping it at a light I would get an engine hesitation shifting to 2nd and 3rd. I thought something might be wrong, then I turned of the traction control and put in "competition mode". Wow! Felt like a whole new car! Chirped the tires in the 2nd and 3rd gear shifts. The traction control was shutting down the engine some on the 2nd and 3rd shifts and that's the hesitation I was feeling. Anyway, just thought I would relay that experience. For racing, definitely "S" and "competition mode"!
The Camaro loses even if he wins. He spent a pot o' money on a car that will lose 50% of it's current value in 3 years. Wesker has a 12-year old car that won't lose 50% of it's current value EVER. Mustang guys kick the Camaro's *** most of the time. If Wesker can launch, he'll beat the Camaro, and that guy will be kicking himself for not getting a much cooler, faster, quicker car for half the money, and which will not lose it's value nearly as quickly. But, these are things you don't know when you are 22...
the 6th gens are very fast but just as a sid not the 2018s have the A8 not A10 not that it matters too much but still weight and aero dynamics will play its part in your victory
