Default What’s this?

I bought a ‘12 GS a short time ago and just removed the rear carpet to install a rear camera, Kilmat and a new head unit. Just found this by the RR fender. Any idea what it is? Mild to Wild or something similar? I bought from a dealer so I can’t ask a prior owner.

It is a powered printed circuit board but don't know what it controls. M to W is normally done in the passenger footwell fuse panel.

Looking at the 2006 color coded electrical schematics, that light blue wire is going to the third brake light.
Could it be a set up to make the third brake light act as a strobe?
This is just a wild stab at it, but that wiring harness has the same colored wires as my 2006 schematics.
condensed circuit attached:

I have a third light flasher, and it connects right to the third light connector, it ballets. Nothing in that locations.

The newer flasher modules are tiny and programmable. I think I spot the OP’s on a Fiesta site but there are many others available.

Others even offer an accelerometer to detect sudden, hard braking and flash the brake light faster.

Heh heh, thanks, I think. I’m throwing out my best guess. Still need word back from the OP to verify.

Might be a week or two. The interior is gutted out for the Kilmat, cameras and head unit.

Thanks for tracking that down, otherwise I’d be worried sh!tle$$ over what it was.
