I had Llumar tint on my c-5 and had no issues with it. Just got my c-6 yesterday and booked an appointment to have it done. Tint is must for me in the hot Florida sun. With a silver sunshade in the front window and the windows tinted, it makes a huge difference in the interior temp when it is parked outside all day in a parking lot.
What % do you go with? I am booked for getting them done next Tuesday. I have a convertible and I am planning to go all 20% unless someone changes my mind.... lol
The front window slash intrigues me but I have the whole on-star unit on my window and the original black dots so I think it wouldn't turn out well and I would regret it. But I do not like the dash glare.
This is 3M tint and it looks great....not sure what the % is but its whatever is legal in MS. It was a bit pricier than expected but the shop had to remove what was on the doors, hatch and install the new stuff
I would recommend going as dark as you can limit, 20% in your case. Purely from an aesthetic standpoint darker looks much more aggressive and sportier on C6's (in my opinion). 18% from @darkfader's pictures looks fantastic, as you still get that clean sleek look on the profile of the car and still have no functionality problems. I just bought my C6 last month from someone who had it tinted 7% all the way around minus windshield and while it looks absolutely amazing in my opinion (with the top and halo wrap it will look even better if I kept the tint); the night time functionality is terrible for parking which is why I'm re-tinting to 15-20%. Night time driving is no issue as you can see clearly if there are lights on the road but without lights (parking spots) I have to roll down my windows to see the lines.
Perfect reflection of the clouds in this tint haha
In the not to distant future, I plan to re-tint the windows of my '12 GS CE coupe. The company uses Llumar and I'm getting ceramic 20% on side windows and 15% on the rear. I know 15% on the rear hatch is dark, but with a backup camera I should be good. Not sure what the laws are here in WA, state but don't really care living on this remote tourist destination island, otherwise known as San Juan Island.
To save money, I'll remove the existing tinting that is showing a little wear after 8 years. I've seen a couple of youtube videos on removing it.

Mine is "Florida legal" Not sure what that is. 18%? It's not super dark, but I was happy with it. I would have gone a little darker, but the shop said they couldn't honor the lifetime warranty if it was beyond legal. I had the dots on my back hatch in my c-5 and it wasn't perfect. I'm a little worried about the ones on the front of my c-6.
