Finicky Trunk
I recently bought an 06 convertible. When opening the trunk via FOB, interior button or exterior button, it sometimes does not want to pop up far enough to get my fingers under the edge to open. At first I thought it had an electric trunk, but I read somewhere the convertibles do not have an auto trunk latch. When this happens, if I press one of the buttons enough it will release enough for me to lift. Advice?

Trunk popper
I had the same problem with my '06 convertible. There is an electric actuator in the trunk on the left side. They get weak over time. Rather than pay hundreds to replace it, I added a trunk popper. It boasts the lift and works well.
