Default Ls7 upgrades question

Does anyone know a rough figure of how much it’ll cost to get a ls7 to 2000+ hp on top of a 5 grand turbo

That would be a good question to pose to someone like Aaron Kaufman, Lingenfelter, or a similar shop. You'd easily be in the $20-30kk+ range for that kind of HP and supporting mods plus safety features.

Wrong motor to start with, since the area between the cylinder is too thin to start with on the LS7 block cylinders (can't take a lot of boost to start with).
So correct block that will stand that kind of boost to get you to that kind of power on anything short of nitro, would be a LSX block.

As for 2k HP in a C6, good luck with that one, since drive line would never hold up from the torque, much less getting the needed down force to even get the tires to stick at any speeds as well.

Bluntly put, to get that kind of power down on street tires, you need 4 wheel drive to start with, and why the Texas mile guys are running Lambo's and GT-R's. On the C6, around 800hp is really the breaking point of useless over power in the C6 and that is with a areodynamics kit to get a ton of down force to start with.

You will have to invest ALOT of money in the entire drive train, not just the engine to get to 2k hp. This car will also be useless on the street if that is your plan

Yes, and not, since he can hobble the hell out of the motors instant to ground Torque values via TM to get the tires to stick for street use, but would make that 2K HP number kind of mute point, short of top end speed where TM will allow the motor to ramp up to at a snail pace in the end. Hell, even at 800hp on the street, still leaning hard on Torque management to get the motor's output civil enough to be used on the street/keep the tires semi sticking.

As for super charger, would be able to get there with a TVS-2750 or Centrifugal with blow off valve, and would be the better option since the TVS does have a by-pass valve/Centrifugal will come on about mid range RPM, where as a 8-71 would just be surging at low RPM and undrive-able in traffic isntead.
Note, you wind up a 8-71 and you better have the distance for the blower to wind done as well, since it will suck the vain open on pretty much any carb/injector body you put on it. Hence this is the reason that the TVS series of blowers do have a by pass valves, to dump the pressure on the spot from the roots as soon as you come off the gas.

As for my take on 2K HP in a C6 that you will never be able to use, since you can make 8k HP for the same money (running nitro), say go for that since your just looking at arm chair numbers that you will never be able to use in the car.
