Default TPMS reset issue

Hi, I recently purchased a 2008 Z06 with 4xx miles. I swapped out the wheels for my extra set of tires on my c7 Z06. I went through the TPMS re-learn process on the C6 but I couldn't get the car to recognize the TPMS sensors in the C7 Wheels. Thoughts?

It's doubtful that the TPMS OEM sensors in the C7 are compatible with your C6. What sensors do the C7's use? Did you check so see if they are compatible?

08 sensors aren’t even compatible with later c6 let alone sensors from a c7

Sensors in domestic C6's use the 315 mhz band, while C6's build for export and all C7's use the 433 mhz band. You need the tire sensors to match the car's system.

while all domestic c6 are 315, they are definitely NOT all interchangeable. Order by model year

Personally I would just go to an independent that will program and install new sensors by breaking the bead, I had got it done on my C6 for 55 dollars out the door.

Thanks guys, I figured it was something like that, an annoyance but I'll get it taken care of.

Wow! How is that even possible? Great find. I love older low mileage cars. I bought my 2012 GS in 2016 with 980 miles on it. I am curious though, many guys on the forum complain about low mileage cars are going to be problematic from sitting so much. I don't subscribe to this when it comes to modern cars. Did any issues come up with your 450 mile 2008 Z06? Any oil leaks or anything else? Also, share a picture if you can.

I actually had a 2008 Z06 for 8 years with 19K miles, nearly identical to the one I bought, sold it last year for a C7 Z06. But ended up missing the C6Z. I put out a want ad on the forum and a member messaged me, looking to sell the car I bought. Never really asked why it never collected too many miles, sounded like he had a few vettes, maybe he'll chime in.
Overall the car was in great shape, I think the transporter did the most damage to it, but thats another story.
The oil pan had a bit of seepage, and the hoses are a bit chalky, otherwise, smells and drives like a 400 mile car.

Probably the dirtiest part of the undercarriage
