Hi everyone, I’m new to this site. I am considering buying a C6. As I look for any recall notices, I found that this certain Vette missed a recall for the UBEC which is about the headlamps not being functional. With this Vette being this old, will the dealership still perform the recall or am I out of luck? Or being this old, could it be this has never happened to this particular Vette or only certain Vins were only affected?
Any help you guys can give would be appreciated. Is there a self fix?

My GS is 2011, i never did the recall for the headlights, they work just fine, i would not worry about it if they go bad it is a easy DIY FIX. If i remember correctly, it was valid for 10 years or 100k miles. Only a honest dealer can tell you if it is still valid. I do jot fix anything that is not broken
Pretty sure the headlight recall is a safety recall and has no expiration date. My 2007 has had no problems so I have not taken it in for this recall. I would not let that keep you from buying a car.
One day on my 08 vette I was driving in the freeway at noght... qhen suddenly the headloghts turned off. I turned on the fog lights with poor visibility but for safety. I knew already that it had to do with a recall as I too did research on this car before owning. 3 years with the csr till it happened. I ran it that way a few weeks avoiding night driving... then went on to replace it with no paper work or appointment. They got it fixed.
I would get it fixed or you might not be so lucky like I was in the freeway

This is absolutely correct. Safety recalls do not expire, and the headlight recall falls under this.

To the OP: Always list the year and sub-model [Grand Sport] etc of the car you are asking about.
This issue is a recall for a couple years of Corvette production [no expiration date] and a "customer satisfaction" program for others [expires ten years after in-service date]
from Cars.com: "General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2005-2007 Chevrolet Corvette vehicles manufactured March 29, 2004, through June 22, 2007. ... GM's number for this recall is 13146. Note: Model year 2008-2013 Chevrolet Corvettes will be covered under customer satisfaction program number 14203 for the same issue."

Update!
The other night for the fist time my low beams all of a sudden stopped working while driving, first time since I bough the car in 2011. Next morning once the car cooled off they started working again. I called/emailed few dealers, but no one replies. Go figure.
I bought my 2009 C6 in May 2020, and just had the recall work done. No expiration date for safety recalls. There was also an emissions recall that the dealer addressed as well.
