hey guys, i noticed a few weeks ago that my foglight was completely pushed in on the drivers sid, very wierd but i didnt think much of it.
Then about a week ago i realized my headlight , drivers side, is also pushed in and up, i have about a 1/4 inch gap now where it meets the bumper.
Ive had no collisions , there is no paint chipping anywhere, but this is getting wierd now.
Ive heard that to disable the alarm system on some cars they try to cut through the bumper to cut the horn , not sure if this is related to anything theft related but wante dto know if you guys had any ideas or experiance with this
Photos attached, thanks Pushed way out of place, doesnt pull back out , its not loose About a 1/4 inch gap near the bumper , i can see right through it The top of the headlight is pushed right up under the fender, woukd take alot of force to do that, it is not loose and cannot be pushed back into place , i tried
You probably. Hit a bump hard and that was the end result.. Possibly tweaked the radiator support.
Very u likely it was a theft attempt. The easy way to steal a car is to put it on a rollback. Definitely not trying to cut a horn from underneath on a low sports car.
That's not an attempt at stealing your car. You probably just hit a pothole or speed bump a little too hard and jarred the lights out of place. No car thief is going to go through that much trouble just to disable a horn on a car that can't just be hotwired. Any competent car thief would just put the car on a flatbed and haul it away. Trying to disable a horn takes too much time.
Didn't you hit a pothole back around the start of Feb hard enough to ruin a tire?
i ddi yes, but about a month ago i banged something underneath the car pretty hard where they are doing some contruction at my condo, it makes perfect sense
