Default Soler Performance impressions

Back ground. 2008 LS3 Auto with no tuning.
Like others I have not been happy with the throttle response the Corvette gives me. Press the throttle, does it come on now, wait for it, oh there it is. Reading Soler's web page I was interested. It is the less than half throttle most of us drive and that area gives me the most frustration.
I decided to get both the TB and TC parts. The 2008 LS3 unit was not available. The only option was to have mine sent back to them. I emailed Mike who immediately responded to my question about sending it back. It was reworked and back in the mail in two days.
I installed the TB first before the TC unit. Very straight forward except those darn clips on the electrical plug. Started right up, no codes. I noticed a little more rough idle, around 750 RPM. I let it warm up, blip the throttle a few times and the idle came back to 600 - 650 and was smooth. Once on the road off idle felt stronger. Talking with Mike it is that first 30% of the throttle blade opening where he really shines. Run along at 45 mph, press the throttle a little deep and a very smooth acceleration. I also noticed when the transmission shifted in drive. It was enough of a change that was different than before the new TB. Not a jolt but firmer.
Now the TC unit. It took more time to get the plastic pins out of the cover under the dash than to plug in the unit. Instructions are included and straight forward. I think the big key is to keep the key fob out of the vehicle so as to let the computer shut off. The control unit has a long cord so there are plenty of places you can attach it on the dash or other spots. The TC unit has a huge amount of choices to match your driving desire. Mike has suggested that with the TB and no tune Sport level 5 give a linear throttle response.
Started it up, no codes. Remember that first 30% of throttle, wow, it is right now. When you press it is now, no delay. Goes back to the days of manual linkage. I have a feeling my gas mileage will suffer from now on. Where ever your foot is on the pedal any push is an instant response. I did put it into paddle shifter mode and the shifts are now more pronounced.
So, seat of the pants feel, amazing. The throttle is so much more drivable. Is the vehicle faster? I don't know or really care, the new throttle response makes it feel like it is faster. My thought is the two units are well worth the investment.
