Hi all - posting for advice. 12 GS. Looking to change to black wheels but also change tires at the same time (mileage). I want to fill up the front wheel well better than the stock 275/35/18. And maybe changes all around to a 19/20 instead of current 18/19, what tire sizes are best to accomplish this without causing traction control issues and rubbing issues?
2 questions...best fill size tires for current 18/19
and then also for 19/20?
I’m sure plenty have been down this road. Hope to hear some proven options

I went with black gloss Forgeline wheels. Stayed with the factory size 18 and 19 inch wheels. You have more tire choices in this size vs 19 and 20s. I went with Hankook tires and they seem to be just fine for my weekend cruiser.
I used 345/30 19's rear and 285/35 18's front. Little taller and wider on both ends vs stock. They fit and looked great. Used Michelin Pilot SS's and black rims from Bob at House of Wheels.
I prefer the look of the stock 18/19 size wheels with stock size tires. That being said, you need to buy wheels that have a more aggressive offset. It will bring the wheels closer to the fender, which closes up the gap. Also at that point, you can turn the lowering bolts to lower the car a little to lessen the empty space even further.
Picture of my setup. I only lowered the rear a little on stock bolts. The new wheels with better offsets did a decent job of filling the front wheel well enough without lowering the front.

Looks great. Mind sharing the wheel size with offset you used along with tire size?

Here are the specifics for the wheels I purchased. Fronts are 18x10 with +30mm offsets. Rears are 19x12 with +50mm. These were the recommended offsets by the wheel vendor I purchased from. I am sure there is some room to go with a little more aggressive offset if you so choose.
