gmpartsdirect couldn't get you that cable if their lives depended on it.GM has none.Good luck with your search.Just because it shows on web sites dosen't mean they are available.Go to your nearest dealer and have them check for you. They will get an instant answer for you

Thanks, but incorrect. My order was cancelled. The reason given was that the part was on “National Back Order” with no expected delivery available. GM cancelled the order.

They can be had. I ordered this one on 8/2, shipped 8/3, in my hands 8/5. Check out origin of manufacture.

Well, I let my colleague know about the part and he had already had it towed to one of the local Chevy dealers to obtain and install the part. He's not a wrencher.....and about $600 bucks later, his 05 shifts again. So, apparently, there are some dealers that have/can get the part.

I'm thinking about going ahead and buying the part so I'll have it on hand if/when it happens to me......but when that happens, I'll definitely do the repair myself.

Thanks, but I (and others) are looking for a cable for the 2005’s (A4). You bought a cable for the A6’s...

Yep, you are correct - guess I misread the OP. Looks like the A4 cable is in stock at Eckler's though.

I don’t know if they have anymore, but I received a cable (10352529) from Cultrag today. Although, it wasn’t the smoothest of transactions, Mr. Culley came through. Thank you.
