Default Door cable

Has anyone opened there trunk lid and pulled on the door cable to see if it opens the door?

Yes, did that with each C6 that I had. They all worked okay.

No. Never tried it. Afraid the door will fall off.

I used the emergency door handle, after I got in closed the door, hit start, and everything went dead. I had to use the handle to get out, battery stone dead.

Handle worked!

He’s talking about the hatch door lever.

FWIW.
Might be a good idea for all owners to locate and check these emergency pull cord/ cable systems.

Emergency pulls:
Fuel door in trunk
Drivers door in trunk
Rt & Lt Door handles on passenger compartment floor.
Trunk/ hatch behind dirvers seat?
Vert, is there a pull for the tonnoue cover (sp) behind waterfall?
AND test access with your emegency metal key lock above the rear license plate area.

Any list errors or did I leave something off the list?

No, I have not tested these systems myself in years.
Will do so thanks to this thread.

Emegency Brake aka parking brake
4 way flashers

Actually,, there's lots of stuff that should be checked periodically. Lights, treadware, fluid levels, belts, hoses, and so on.
