I think those wheels look great on that color car. But it's a personal preference.

If you think your car is too flashy, go with black wheels. It does really tone a car down, but is that what you want for your Corvette?

If you're planning more black (taillights, side markers, etc.) I'd change it up and go with black wheels. If not, I'd stick with the chrome and enjoy.

Yes, it's been asked thousand's of times and it's 50/50. It depends on who you ask. The real answer is to do what you want, and not what others on the corvette suggest you do.
I've never seen black gumby wheels. It's probably cheaper to have them powder-coated, but if you sell your chrome gumbys it would offset the cost of new wheels.
What other style wheels are you interested in? Are you wanting to keep OEM style wheels or go aftermarket?

Easy to do a google search and find your car with black wheels, then you decide.

Not the greatest angle;
I still have more tinting to do (halo, side markers etc) and swap lugs/center caps.
Powder coated oem wheels off a 2013 with Toyo R888R's mounted.

Your Corvette looks awesome. Great color and perfect wheels. I wouldn't change a thing.

I pretty much have the same Vette. In my opinion I would leave those great wheels.
I had the temptation to change also.
Maybe add a small real spoiler, some graphite accents on the rear valance, graphite side skirts.
Keep those beautiful chromes or just go all out.

NOT a fan of all black rims. Here's an option if you want something darker. Would look "sick" on you magnetic red ride!

Carbon flash color ended up working well for me, but I liked the chrome Gumby’s too.
