Default What does this button do?

I was installing a new steering wheel and when I went to look for the holes to pop the airbag cover I discovered this button for the first time. I know this a 1LT car and I was doing online searches but didn't find anything about what it could be. I pressed the button a few times and I don't think it did anything because nothing obvious happened. Is this a feature from factory?

Agreed. Ignition lock that’s been disabled perhaps?

If you have dual mode exhaust, it could be a switch for that. Start the car and push the switch on and off to see if you notice a change in the exhaust note.

Thats the button to activate the ILLUDIUM Q-36. They must not have fully installed it if you pushed the button and nothing happened. You can find a replacement here if you need, they're not cheap though. https://www.simpsonraceproducts.com/...pace-modulator

If Isimple device was installed to add blue tooth to the car, could be the reset switch for it.
Bottom line, trace the switch wires to what aftermarket device the switch is controlling, and this will answer your question

It’s a passenger seat ejection button, similar to 007’s Aston Martin😉

Aside from all the witty answers you have received, I drive a 3LT 08 vert. The switch you show being below the level lever for the steering wheel is not present on mine. I would guess it is a switch for an aftermarket add-on from a previous owner. Check, and see if there are any other electrical add-on modification on your vehicle, then operate the switch. See what happens. Also if it's possible contact previous owner, and ask them.
