Default Which Quick Jack Do I Get?

I have 2 Corollas, a Cr-V, a Silverado Short bed single cap, a stock height Vette.
Will I be able to drive up the middle over them in my Vette or would they hit the rubber scraper in front?
TIA

You really don't want to do that even if it does clear. They are heavy and dragging them out from the center means you have to crawl under and pull them out in an awkward position. It's much easier to pull in between them and slide them under from the outside. If storage is an issue, you can get the hangers.

I park over my QJ (5000) with my 2005 base. When I need them, I use the supplied “handles” to pull them outwards and line them up with the jacking pucks. Yes, I do have to get down on the garage floor to do this, but it isn’t hard...and is sure beats hauling them around if you don’t have the space to leave them on the garage floor (parking between them). However you decide to store them...know this...they are significantly better than using jacks, lol. Good luck...

Sounds like one of the above posters has never used a QJ. They come with the supplied handles for that purpose. My car is too low to drive over them anyway.

I just used them yesterday to put snow tires on my wife's Corolla and my RAV4. I just hate crawling around on the floor, especially when the car is dripping wet.

Ok yeah, I want to leave the lifting rails on the ground, drive up over them in the center of the Vette and then pull them/align them under the pucks on the Vette with lifting rail handles. But I'm pretty sure that rubber air damn is going to hit them when I drive over them. There is a video on YouTube where a guy in a C5 does this but I'm not sure if there is that rubber scraper air dam on his car. Yeah, I'm pretty sure after taking measurements my air dam will scrape.

I have a Ford Edge Sport, Nissan Maxima and an 2008 Corvette Z51 ( sits a bit lower than the reg base) and I have the QJ 7000 version. I usually slide the QJ in from the sides, You can't drive over them forward in the vet. If u do need to drive over them. I would back over them. For those interested. The QJ hooks are a GREAT option to store the QJ!!!

Yeah, each rail weigh 70lbs...Every time I get down on the garage floor I swear I'm gonna get a qj but once I complete the job I can't justify the cost!
I'm gonna do it!!!

I'm also thinking about building some sort of tire stands as an extra saftey devise to put under the tires once car is lifted. Anybody done that?

TIA

According to their website...the 5000 SLX rails weigh 78lbs each. The equivalent 7000 rails weigh 96lbs each.

I have the 5000
04Z (lowered), '14 Abarth
They are stored under the Vette in the center. It slightly scrapes the front air dam when driving over it. I don't mind, it's built to deflect.
I leave the hydraulic hoses connected, pump is on the floor in front of the Vette. I do unplug it except when in use.
I don't mind rolling around on the ground a bit and I don't like the idea of standing them up, they are pretty heavy and if they fall it'll hurt.
Had it this way for 2yrs now, wouldn't have it any other way.

good luck!

Ditto, I keep mine under the GS. I leave mine plugged in unless I need to move them out of the garage because the connectors can be a pain to attach/detach. The air dam does slightly contact them but does not damage anything when driving over them.
I have the 12VDC 5000 + the SUV extensions as well. Highly recommend the 12VDC version, it's more versatile. No a/c needed, just jumper cables to the battery so you can use them anywhere.

I saw on YouTube where this guy had attached LED lighting strips to each lifting rail. Really lit up the underneath of the car.

I just got mine yesterday BL-5000SLX for your cars the 5000SLX is what you want.

but your truck you’ll need the BL-7000EXT the “EXT” is longer “SLX” is shorter and of course the 5000 is max weight and 7000 is max weight. And yes I did drive over my set.

08 Z51 stock height. BTY got them on sale one day only $998.00 shipped

Yeah, I'm pulling the trigger Soon. I talked to a customer service guy at Quick Jack last week to ask about the horizontal lift movement, max ~4" back. He sent me an email and told me he could write the sales order. I emailed him back and told him I want the Costco price, that's like a $400-$500 discount from their advertized online price. I also emailed Bendpac and told them the same. That was last Friday evening. We'll see what this Christmas week brings.

My buddy Chris is the guy who sells them at Carlisle. He may know something if you'd like me to talk to him for you, or I can put you in touch. Or his info is in one of the Quick Jack threads in the National Events forum. PM me if you want his info and can't find it there.

Ok anyway Thanks dudes for all your help and ideas so far!
Lookin like if I want to get a Quick Jack finally I'm going to have to buy directly from Quick Jack/Bendpac.
Did my best hagglen with them. Right Now they'll give me about $150 off.
I've seen where some guys on YouTube got a display model off the floor at Costco for $450. Most Good Deals seem to be around a Grand though.
I'm pretty sure I'll spend the $1266 and get one NOW before I spend my allocated money on beer (again).
I wish I had the discipline like the rest of you guys to not drink beer and save for SALES..........

Oh Yeah, Merry Christmas!
