Are you referring to the NPP on the '08 model and up? Also not sure what you mean by exhaust tubes being together.
There are after market exhaust that would like the stock NPP I believe at least one brand, but they are expensive. you can replace your stock system with the NPP. People do remove them and go to an after market system such as Corsa, Billy Boat and others so check the Parts for Sale and Wanted.
