There is a dip in the road on a nearby highway. My C6 (stock height) would scrape the front air dam at highway speeds coming out of this dip. I travel that road a lot and began to anticipate this problem, so I would slow down, and avoid the scrape. Imagine the cars behind me and what they thought when I would slow down to 40 mph on a super highway.
Anyway after a while I got smart, and would select “Sport” mode just prior to the dip. I never scraped the air dam after that at any speed. Mag ride rocks!
Does the MagnaRide on the 2011 a Big Difference?
Looking to buy GS without it.
Thank You for your comments.
Hello rmc,
Magnetic ride will make a significant improvement in both ride and handling. Especially with my new calibrations.
The problem with vehicles that do not have it is when we developed a suspension for a vehicle that goes up to 170mph, we need to tune the shocks to make sure the car drives exceptional at 170mph. That requires a significant amount of damping. So, whatever damping you need to add for those high speeds, you own it at low speeds.
The beauty of magnetic ride is that we can add damping at high speeds without affecting the low-speed drivability. Hope that helps, Jim
For those of you who did not get a sticker, please contact me. I apologize, when I was flying solo before Terri flew into Houston, several times I forgot to provide a sticker. Thanks, Jim.
What exactly is done with this and what is the cost?
Hello slow,
I will give you the cliff notes version, you can get a complete understanding by visiting my website www.jimmero.com
Essentially, over the 15 years I was working with magnetic ride, due to philosophy changes, and obtaining better data from the supplier, we were able to redo all the algorithms to enhance both ride and handling. The car will negotiate rough roads 100% percent better, but also the steering precision and body role will be much more balanced.
The cost varies, based on the installation. It is between $385-$450, and comes with a 100% moneyback guarantee.

Jim, what do us folks out in the southwest need to do to get you to come out here and tune our MRC? I'm in Las Vegas, and would really like to experience the diff.

Hi Buck,
We have intentions to go out West. I just can’t say when. Unfortunately, I do not have any installers in Las Vegas. Simple because I only have one or two cars that want the upgrade there.
The closest installers I have would be in California. San Francisco, Sacramento, and Los Angeles.
I do offer the module exchange program. The exchange takes about 1.5 hours for someone with moderate mechanical capabilities. I have a YouTube video on how to perform the exchange.
I wish I had a better answer, but for now that’s it. Thank you very much, Jim.
after some long lasting issues, i'll be getting in some extended drive time this saturday.
i found a road condition this morning that, no amount of tuning would address. following a line of cars through a back canyon road, without warning ( it was still dark out ), i was met with the road covered with a small rock slide. if you want to call small, with rocks the size of baseball and softballs. i didn't have time to avoid all of them. took a few straight on. the worst one caused a flat tire & a small dent in the rim. was able to get a local shop to order a tire and install in about 1-1/2 hours.
if you can imagine, this was worst then the dental appointment this morning.
This last week I took my C6 427 to Brian Spitler from Apex Detailing to instal the module and to detail the vehicle while there. Today, I picked the vehicle and the ride home was smooth. Plus, the work that Brian did on the paint is phenomenal. I'm ready for the coming season. Thank you Jim Mero!

I just got a new to me c6 with mag ride. Where would this sticker be located so that I can tell if it has your new calibrations? Thanks!
