Kit comes with a remote looking device, So first programs that into your visor with the car in ACC.

Once the remote that comes with the kit is programming into the visor button choice, then plug in the kit part that has the plug on it to your garage door opener outlet with the antenna wire hanging down, press the learn button on your garage door opener, then hold down the visor button number that you just programmed in within about 30 second of putting the door opener into learn node, until the garage door opener light blinks.

Good luck. In quite a few cases people had to purchase a "compatibility bridge" unit to add to the garage door opener to get it to work. I tried multiple times to get the OEM Car2U to pair with a new opener using the OEM manual instructions. I also checked Google for instructions and tried multiple versions. I initially gave up and used the clip on visor unit for about a year. Decided to try again last summer, again checking Google. Found a set of instructions for my brand opener, followed the instructions exactly, and was successful.

Why not just use your phone as your opener?

I installed one of these at home and my range sucks. I basically have to be parked in front of the garage to get the Corvette built in opener to work. I kept it but use the opener that came with unit. Regarding the phone, I have that also but it's not exactly convenient when you're driving up to the house. That's more for when you're not in your car or need another method to open the door.

I'm asking but does your car three button opener on the Visor. If it does I have a three car garage with two openers. One is Chamberlin the other a Genie. I used the program info from the GM C6 Corvette owners manual to program the Chamberlin. Worked first time. Then it did not work on the Genie. I used the program guide from the Genie to program it. I tried serval times to figure this out. Works perfect. I can open either door from half a block away. P.S. I added a piece of wire to extend the antenna on the Genie. That didn't help so I contacted Genie and they sent me a new receiver antenna board assembly. That did the trick.
