Looks good Iceaxe, I also noticed you have the tail light seals ✔
Yeah... water dripping out of your taillights for the next two hours after washing the car is very annoying. The seals are a well spent $15 and 15 minutes.
Car looks great as is. Tinted windows and a great sounding exhaust system with nice big round 4 inch polished exhaust tips would improve the look and sound. Black powder coated calipers and painting the rotor hats silver would would pop against the Chrome wheels. Just my opinion.
Nice Corvette.
You can replace Sarasota with whatever retirement city you prefer. It was a nicer way of saying the car was spec'd out for an old man or lady. I really don't mean it in a bad way, some vettes are racy looking, some are classy/mature. The color combination, interior, wheels, trans, and mag ride peg this one all the way over to that side. Adding decals, spoilers, bright colored calipers won't change that, it will just make in cheesy.
You need to step into the 21st century of performance vehicles.
just my opinion please do whatever makes you happy. I’m happy with my stock Vette with chrome wheels. I also like listening to vinyl it sounds better than anything introduced in the 21 st century. Soon everything will be electric how sad is that you won’t have to check the box for NPP.
I would not do a thing, especially for resale value. Remember when you customize your idea of what is nice may not be someone else’s . Look at some the classic models stock ones always sell quick and for top dollar. Your car is mint low miles someone looking for Lemans Blue c6 Vert would jump on it. Black things out add flares it would not be the way it came out of the showroom. By the way not a fan of black wheels they always look like they were never cleaned. Chromes ones pop when they are in motion. If you change them keep them GM. Car is beautiful as is.
Well I've restored about 8 Cars now, and you are so right. Their never worth more that as they were right out of the box. 6 years ago I was looking for a 80's Chevy K5 Blazer. And I've learned that if your going to look for a particular car, Give yourself plenty of time, and shop for the model with all the bells and whistles that they came from the Factory, and ALWAYS remember RUST will kill anything. So after a long search, I found a perfect example that lived it's whole life in Odessa Texas. Took me 3 years to rebuild it and it is totally rust free truck. Even though it is a 4WD , I personally never use it in the winter, or use it for mudding or other abusive activity. I put back exactly as it was when it was Delivered to Mr. Ewing in San Anglo TX in 1988. The only "Mods" I did was LED headlights, and a Pioneer sound system. I learned a lot with this truck and the others I've restored. I think I like the restoration process more than owning them ?
I bought my 2008 new with no options except the 6 speed auto and museum delivery. When I felt it the need for a change....went with TSW Nurburgring wheels (Michelin non-runflats). The rear spoiler (RPI?) I put on when brand new for a bit of flair. Fuel rail covers and cocomats (cocomats.com) add to the look as well. Also wanted to tone down the "whites of its eyes" some so put a minimal film on the headlights.....no issues with vision or problems with the plastic lenses. With subtle changes you can keep the "I need a new Corvette" bug at bay. It has worked for me and it all can be reversed when desired (still have the factory wheels).

Get rid of the chrome wheels that scream “2010” . If your not a fan of black like I am then get “gun metal gray”. There’s a reason high end cars like Mercedes, BMW and Ferrari don’t have chrome wheels.
Here's my C6 with C7 Z51 replicas in gloss black. This is one old man (81) who doesn't like chrome. The wheels and powder coated calipers are the only changes I've made.

Z1 spoiler really helps the look.
To the average person.. they Cant tell the difference between a widebody and a base or a ls3, ls3, or z52 emblem. Do it up how YOU want it!
Honestly, I can't tell what to think without it being installed. There is no defined perception of height, width, etc., nor of how it looks in application. I will be very eager to see it installed. And, if it's a battery cover, why does it have oil specifications on it? Hate to be a downer, but I really don't get it.
It's just to add a little "Detail" to the engine bay, But I think once the windows are tinted, and brake calipers are painted red, it will be much more of a stand out ? I try to do something that's not over the top !
