I’ve got a ‘13 GS with 19k on the odometer. Bought it last year with 1 owner. Today I took it out for a run. Went to a store, wasn’t in there 10 min. came out. Tried to start it, no joy. Sounded like the battery was dying. Tried a few more times, same result. Waited a few minutes, started but just barely. Had the traction light on and the service traction control and service active handling flashing on the dash and the tach needle was at zero. Drove the car home , it was running rough but I made it. Switched it off, restarted it , no problem. No lights , tach worked, ran smooth. Only thing I had to do was index the driver’s window. It’s been very cold here in NYC, wind chill close to zero for the last few days and my cars parked outside. Voltage is at over 14 on the dash when running and 13 1/2 when it’s just the ignition on. Any ideas?
I replaced my GS speed battery with one from Autozone, I do not recall which one. To look it up, I referenced it as a ZO6 so I got one that was vent tube capable.

The vent tube is often overlooked on dry sump cars, that is one of the reasons I went with an OE A/C Delco battery on mine.
My battery came with a plug in the vent hole, I just removed it and installed my vent tube elbow. To the OP, the tube is so the battery can be vented outside the cabin.
The same battery will fit, but that does not mean it is correct. There is a reason there is a different PN for the battery in dry sump cars.
I see a ninja edit occurred.

When shopping make sure you get the proper battery for the manual transmission equipped car since it is different than the battery for an automatic.

Seems to be some, um, misinformation going around.
All '06 - '13 C6s use the same BCI Group 90 battery. There is no different battery for dry sump cars, or automatic cars. They are all the same.
'05s only use a BCI Group 86 battery which is the same size but has the terminals reversed.
Did you even read your own link ?
