Default Interior Door Panel Movement

I noticed that my drivers side door panel had an annoying squeak when I leaned on the armrest, or driving over some choppy roads. I took that panel apart and found several of the plastic retaining pins were stuck onto the grommets that are supposed to stay in place on the door frame. I had purchased new pins before this and replaced the pins, then pushed the grommets back into the frame. Squeak is gone, but now I have a couple of areas along the bottom of the panel where the pins hold fine until pulling the door closed, leaving a gap of about 1/4" on the bottom.. It looks like the grommets are only held on by friction. Has anyone had success with using an adhesive or double sided tape to keep their panels tight, or is there any other way to keep these grommets from moving out of their holes?

You can try replacing the grommets also. Before I did my audio system, I purchased new grommets and pins as I anticipated that I may break a couple. Grommet part number: 10351052
