Default Front splitter question

Tried the search but didn’t have much luck with this specific topic. I want to add a zr1 EOS spoiler to my car and possible do the zr1 EOS front splitter. I see some front splitters stick out really far. Are these adjustable in the sense that you can have it stick out less? I feel like less is more with the c6’s whereas the c7 is the opposite. The stock splitter is a nice touch but something slightly larger would look really good.

There’s standard ZR1-style & extended ZR1-style, with the extended obviously sticking out more.

Keep in mind that the Z cars that come with a splitter OEM also have an additional brace inside the front fascia to prevent the fascia from deforming at speed due to the downforce created by the splitter.

I wonder how many people install the splitter without adding the brace? Does it really make that much of a difference? Reason I ask is because I’m about to install a splitter (the regular one, not extended). I didn’t think about bracing... 😩

Estimating by all the posts I see of people adding splitters, I’d say a very large % don’t install the brace. I’ve seen pics at various times, specifically of a yellow C6 with the front fascia deformed - looks like a fish with its mouth open.

Considering car companies constantly try to reduce costs when manufacturing vehicles, I would assume it’s important if GM spent $ to put it in there.

It makes it at least 3x stiffer. I panel glued mine on and add 2 layer of carbon fiber before installation. If you never go 100 + I doubt it matters at all

I definitely go over those speeds at times, will have to look into this more.
