Good evening - I'm still in the hunt for a late model C-6 GS with low miles or possibly a C-7 (2014-15) ... has anyone ever purchased their Corvette through one of these agencies - or heard of anyone doing that? Just wondering how reputable they are, how their Corvettes are, and whether or not they will haggle in price?
I am not sure about buying a car from them, but I sold them a car and they offered me almost 15% more than any dealer would on a trade, and I went to several. I expected a problem or renegotiation when they came to pick up the car, but everything went as stated and there were no issues. In fact, it could not have been easier. If they are as good with selling cars as they were with buying my car, I would be nervous if I owned a traditional car dealership. I have not read anything negative about them and their business seems to be booming, so it seems like they know what they are doing. I think no haggling is part of their strategy, and given the higher price they paid for my car, I wouldn't think there is room for negotiation.
I have never known anyone personally that has done it. If you want, I can regurgitate what "I've read" on other forums and social media sites about it, but that seems about worthless really.
Not a vette, but an Audi in June from carvana. Everything was perfect and exactly like the pics. I know you’re asking about a vette, but wanted to let you know it was a fine for me
They typically have good cars. They're meticulous af about documenting the cars.
I nearly bought an amg from them, however, the downside to their process is that you buy the car, and then get to have it delivered and test drive it. They let you return it, but it was just too much of a commitment to a car I hadn't driven yet.
I considered selling my car to Carvana a few months back. I ended up keeping the car but the price they were offering was very reasonable for what would have been a quick sale. I don't think I would have any issue purchasing a car from them, although I do prefer buying from a private seller if possible.
I nearly sold my truck to Carvana recently and I helped a friend purchase through them. The process is super quick and easy but you also pay for convenience. Their prices are higher than any private sale and most dealers, too. I would sell to them, but I probably wouldn't buy from them unless I had a trade in. They only sell clean cars with clean titles but you can probably find a better deal elsewhere.
I bought my '11 GS 3LT 6M with 5.5k miles from Carvana in November 2019, before the used car market went completely whacko and prices shot up. The pictures/description were on par with the actual condition of the vehicle. They put on new tires and installed a new battery. They called and asked if they could drive the vehicle to my house instead of on a truck as they felt it was too low and didn't want to damage anything trying to load it. They showed up on time and affter a short test drive (without the rep) we went over the paperwork. I had seven days to test drive it - the only condition was they asked for no more than 400 miles. They called on the 3rd and 6th day to make sure everything was OK. Then on the seventh day they start the paperwork (loan, tags, license).
The only issue I had was one of the FOB's wouldn't work (I didn't test until after he left) - and opening it up it was easy to figure out why as the circuit board was missing. No problem, they reimbursed me for the cost of a new FOB.
I was really skeptical about buying from them but now could recommend. It was the seven day test drive that sold me, along with their follow up to make sure everything was OK.
On a side note, I traded my '12 1LT 6A base with 14k miles and did pretty good on the trade compared to other local dealers. Compared to local prices I found their manual transmissions were very competitive. Auto's were evenly priced. They were definitely lower than Carmax. I wouldn't even consider Carmax at the time - low selection and high prices.
I purchased my 2013 60th Anniversary Grand Sport Vert from VROOM in 2016 before they became exclusively an online dealer. They had taken over a local Autonation a few miles from my home and had an enormous inventory of autos & trucks. They had several prime examples of sports cars in their showroom, both domestic & exotic. They did not haggle, though I made several attempts at price negotiation. They allowed my wife & I to take the car for a lengthy test drive and offered a full service sale experience, to include very competitive financing options. They also offered the 7-day return policy for a full refund if I was not satisfied with the purchase. I would not hesitate to buy from them again as the cars were all prime low-mileage vehicles. The no-haggle price of my GS was also a bit lower than other dealers retail prices at the time. The biggest problem was that they also had a 2013 60th Anniversary 427 Vert for sale at $15k more than the GS. Unfortunately, I had to have the A6, so reluctantly passed on the 427.

Didn't buy my C6 from them but just bought a 2019 Nissan Titan truck and the process was smooth as silk. I went to several dealerships and most of them were priced higher. I took the Titan with the 7 day return promise and went to other Nissan dealers and dollar for dollar the dealerships couldn't meet the price. They let me walk so I'm happy with Carvana. Came with a 100 day warranty, plus the balance of the factory warranty which was 48 months and 88,000 miles - truck had 12,000 miles on it. Overall, everything was great and like others have said, if I was a dealership, I would be worried. They seem to have a lot of leverage with off-lease vehicles so they are selective with what they bring in to sell. And yes, no negotiation. Take it or leave it.
I purchased my 12 GS 3LT A6 from Carvana last July. Did all the paper work online. Took about 1/2 total for everything, including the car I traded in. No haggling on the price. The car was as described & as shown online & in person. I went to their vending machine to pick it up. Neat experience. They took pictures of my trade. No problems. Gave 7 days or 400 miles to decide. The car didn't have an owners manual or front tag bracket. They told me to buy them & they would pay me back. I did, and about 2 weeks later, they paid. I highly recommend them....I never did install the front tag bracket.
My understanding is they only sell cars in very good condition with very good history at very good price points, many still even under factory warranty. They do not want problems or complaints about the cars as they have very little invested in servicing,, parts or real estate like a traditional dealer. They want you like the car and then to service and it elsewhere.
Their profit comes a little form the cars and A LOT from financing.. They are a spinoff of DriveTime.
Must be working . . . . they are the fastest growing used car dealer in the country, sales are up 25% since the pandemic, and they are a billion dollar company already.

Their Financing is legitimately the biggest rip off I have ever seen. They wanted to charge me 9 to 14% depending on how much I out down, and I have amazing credit. Like, normally I'd get 3 to 4% rates.
That said, their market is people who are overall lazy, and will just take it because looking for other Fina cing would be too stressful or some other excuse.

Yup, they really are a finance company making a lot of money, some with with subprime lending for customers who are not just lazy but with less than good credit and not many other options. The cars are good cars but just the vehicle they use to sell the financing, extended warranties, etc.
The CEO of Carvana is Ernest Garcia III His father Ernest Garcia II goes all the way back to the Savings and Loan scandal of the 80's . . . many lawsuits, criminal complaints and federal investigations. He's worth billions.
I know some of this cause my brother is a Toyota dealer . . . hates those guys.

Bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT from Vroom several years ago, and was very happy with them. Process was very easy, vehicle was in good condition, exactly as pictured/described. Price, while non-negotiable was very fair. Since they were local (at least in DFW metro) to me, I went by in person to pick it up, but one of the shock connections for the adjustable suspension failed when I started it. Since I didn't want to deal with it I let them fix it, and then once it was done took advantage of the free drop-off and pickup of my trade-in. If I hadn't been local, it wouldn't have been a big deal as the issue would have been covered under their warranty.
Overall, I loved how easy the process was, and I'd absolutely buy another vehicle from Vroom or Carvana moving forward. As a matter of fact, those are the first places I check now whenever I'm looking for something.

Interesting it seems like they teeter between making a couple hundred million a quarter and losing it. Go figure.
I sold a car to Carvana and it was the easiest transaction I’ve done selling or buying a car. Just as with any used car it is hit or miss depending on the previous owner. Carvana apparently checks over the cars but I’m sure they don’t spend hours driving or looking over them at the same level most here would when purchasing a car. With that said I know they give a 7 day return policy so worst case if you get it and don’t like it or have a separate inspection that finds something you can return it for a full refund.

I bought my vette from Carvana. It was the easiest car purchase ever, was sitting at my favorite watering hole. The car showed up at my house a few days later. It was exactly like described. Then I had a week to test drive it, and could return it if I wanted. The price was competitive...not cheapest, but not over priced either. I definitely recommend Carvana, but hey maybe I am just "lazy" and have bad credit like others have said about their customers without any fact.
