Service ABS System message:
Was it ABS active, ABS is calibrating, or service ABS?
If service ABS, then just need to scan for codes with a scanner that will get you down to the body level of the car (tech II) to see the DTC (if just in History) and it should point you at the problem. Hence problem could be a simple as just one of the wheel sensor connectors slightly corroded or unplugged to start with.
As for the other two that are normal, when you get deep enough into the brakes to kick ABS in, going to get the abs active message.
As for calibrating, mostly see this when you are driving in the colder weather, and the system is just self calibrating. Myself, tend to get this message around the same time I get the ice possible message when first starting to drive the car, hence temp below 36 degrees when the system will want to self check due to may get into icy conditions, and it wants to make sure it's fine from the start.

Just a little frustrating, I replaced the harmonic balancer, and the radiator took a crap a couple days after I got it back. Now, the ABS. Thanks for the help!

Note, sensor has popped downward, and the only want re-seat the sensor is to pull the column out of the car.

Was not clocked correctly so its reading zero volts with the wheel and tires straight forward,
Steering Wheel was turned more then two rotation in either direction with the rake not connected to destroy the sensor,
or could be as simple as just one of the wheel speed sensor connectors loose when the rack was pulled and put back on.
So on that note, pull the DTC's, but would want a Tech II to read BCM Data read to make sure that the steering sensor is still reading correctly in both the centered potion (0 volts), then goes to negative volts and increases as you turn the wheel to the left, then positive volts to the right next off center.
