Disconnect the new car battery and leave it disconnected for about 10 minutest or so. Then reconnect, making sure you've got the connections tight.
Remember to reset the window indexing for both windows after the electricity returns. That's all that should need to be reset.

This might be a stupid questions, but you remove the black that was over one battery pole.
It might look has it wasn't there, but it is, and battery will appear dead.
