Winter project will be a good Time to build a box to fit behind the seat and between the top.
I built a sub box for my convertible that fits just like you want, if you're interested in reading about it in a thread I wrote, you can find it here. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...subwoofer.html It's kind of a long thread, I made a couple different versions of the box using different speakers, my latest version uses two of the square 8" Kicker Solo-Baric's. https://www.kicker.com/solo-baric-l7s-8-4-ohm-subwoofer

Hey guys,

I have a 2013 base, and installed a Sony HU using the PAC RP5-GM11. I just pulled the trigger to traded my car in for a 2008 Z06 that has the NAV/Bose stereo. I want to keep my Sony + PAC, and am wondering if there is anything else I need to be able to use the existing setup. I came across the SOCGM-17C on Crutchfield, but is that a replacement for the PAC unit, or something I'd need as an additional?

Sorry for the thread revival.

You can swap what you have now into the Z06. Nothing else to buy.

Yep, he's right. The SOCGM-17C is just an interface similar to the PAC RP5-GM11 it's just made by a different manufacturer (Crux), the RP5-GM11 will work just fine in your new car.

Perfect thanks! I was going to just put in a new headunit, but they aren't cheap, and not many available with a **** anymore (I prefer over touch volume controls). What threw me is that the Z06 has the Bose system, but my base didn't, and I wasn't sure if there was some sort of difference in the setups. Sounds like I'm good to go, so a couple hundred saved

Yep, good to go. Does your new car have steering wheel controls ?
